Amber Hennessey - Events and Engagement Officer

Amber works with the other members of the Arts Team to organise events here at the Centre, as well as getting out and about in the community to talk to people about what we do here.

Ben Griffiths - Bar Staff

Ben is our fantastic face behind the bar. You'll see him helping with events and may even be lucky enough to sample one of his delicious bakes!

Cher Williams - Cleaner and Admin Officer

Cher is our cleaner and casual admin officer in reception.

Paul Butt - Caretaker

Paul has been our caretaker since 2012. You'll often see him with a paintbrush or screwdriver and more often than not a smile! The eagle-eyed among you may also spot him at Knowle West Media Centre where he also takes care of things!

Shaun Damarell - Duty Officer, Evenings and Weekends

Shaun is one of our friendly Front of House team. You'll mostly see him on evenings and weekends.

Sophie Kilgour - Communications, Marketing and Impact Lead

Sophie joined us as a freelancer in 2023 and now works to promote our events and keep everyone updated on our projects, including our redevelopment. She also evaluates the impact of what we're doing to feed back to our funders.

Steve Griffiths - Duty Officer, Evenings and Weekends

Steve is a helping hand in our buildings and events. He is also a volunteer gardener at Springfield allotments.

Suzie Davison – Creative Projects Manager

Suzie joined our team in 2019. She comes up with ideas for our creative activities then pulls everything together to make them happen, working with other local organisations like KWMC and Knowle West Alliance.

Val Talbot - Admin Manager

Val is the best contact for booking rooms and building requests. She's our senior admin expert who keeps everything ticking along.

Makala Cheung - Director

Makala joined us here in 2018, bringing with her nearly 20 years of experience working in the local community and the Bristol arts scene. In 2023 she was appointed Director.

Mitch Lyth

Mitch works behind the bar but also helps us out with events, gardening and pretty much anything else which needs doing!

Nina Griffiths - Cleaner and Admin Officer

Nina keeps our buildings clean and tidy and provides admin support so if you give us a call it could be Nina who answers the phone!

Heather Pickford - Finance Officer

Heather manages all our finances here, making sure contractors and suppliers, as well as staff, get paid on time.

Jenna Graves - Development Manager

Jenna is overseeing our development, liaising with architects, contractors, Bristol City Council and lots of other stakeholders. She is also working with the Arts Team and local entertainment and hospitality providers to develop our offer as an arts venue.

Katie Bruce - IT and Wellbeing Programme Lead

Katie runs IT support groups and our personal development programme Springboard. She also makes sure all our IT systems are up and running!
